International Harvester Truck 1928
Four International Harvester wheels. Two rear ones and two front ones. Wheels include all the demountable lug bolts and lugs.
All hub bolts appear to be present. The metal is not rusted and they look as if they have been stored inside for most of their life. Unfortunately there are no brake drums.
The front hub measures 7 inches at the flange and 3.25 inches at the center hub for the brake drum. The rear hub measures 7.125 inches at the flange and has a 2.875 inch center for the brake drum. There are 10 spokes each in both the front and rear wheels. The steel felloe measures 19.5 inches on the outside diameter. It is marked 20 X 4 1/2 inside and has a patent date of 6 - 28 stamped inside. These dimensions match wheels I have made for the International trucks for 1928.
I am selling these for a man that is liquidating his inventory of old car parts and retiring. The wheels appear to be very solid with very few cracks showing in the grain. No more than would be expected in wood of this age. There are some hairline gaps showing between the spokes due to shrinkage, I don't think that they are of any great concern. The wheels remain tight against the steel felloe and hub. These wheels would probably be able to be used for shows and parades. I would not suggest that they be used for long tours.

Asking price is $450 or best offer for all 4 wheels plus shipping.
